But, even the lucky people that have straightforward lives without any real dramas or issues face tough times or have days they are pleased the see the back of. Most of us are busy. We’re tired. We’re trying to do too much. We don’t have time to do the things that we love, and our days seem to spill into each other, with little rest.

While life is hard, most of us don’t help ourselves. We don’t do the things that we know would make things easier. We shy away from changes, and we get stuck in bad habits. In fact, most of us are doing at least some of these nine things that make our lives significantly harder than they need to be.

1. Putting Off Drs Visits

How many times have you felt unwell, or had a niggle in your body, that you’ve put off? We put off visiting the doctor because we’re busy. Inevitably, whatever is wrong gets worse, and our lives get harder. Or, we miss those routine checks, which could spot a severe problem in its early stages.

2. Not Updating Any Aids

Many of us have aids to good health. Or things that help our bodies to do their jobs. You might wear glasses or use a hearing aid. Or need support for your muscles or limbs.

To continue to work effectively and make our lives both easier and more comfortable, these aids need checkups and updates. Learn more about modern hearing aids and get any other aids that you use checked regularly.

3. Hitting That Snooze Button

The odd lie in certainly won’t make your life harder. But, if you have a hectic morning, those ten extra minutes in bed could make all the difference between you getting everything done calm and leaving the house in good time, and you being late after spending your morning rushing. Go to bed earlier if you need to, but try to avoid that snooze.

4. Trying to Do It All Alone

We’re not meant to do everything alone. We all need help from time to time, whether it’s professional or just asking a friend to watch the kids. Learn how to ask for help, and your life will be much easier.

5. Focusing on the Negatives

We’re all guilty of focusing on the negatives and failing to see the positives. But this can make it much harder to move forward, to be happy, and to appreciate what you’ve got.

6. Holding on to the Past

The same goes for holding on to the past. If you aren’t living in the here and now, you are making things harder than they need to be.

7. Neglecting Your Mental Health

Your mental health is at least as important as your physical health. So many of us give it no thought at all. This is one of the reasons that so many of us are fighting stress and depression.

8. Playing it Safe

Playing it safe can seem like the easy way to live. But, it can mean that you never get anywhere. That you never hit your targets, you are never completely happy, and you never feel fulfilled by life. Step out of your comfort zone from time to time.

9. Comparing Yourself to Others

If you are always looking at what everyone else has and comparing your life to others, you are holding yourself back. You aren’t giving your life the chance to grow, and you aren’t accepting what you’ve got.
