I also discussed how adding images to your blog posts can increase your total views by as much as 94%!
Don’t forget to follow all copyright laws and license restrictions. Some images require that you give attribution and/or a link back to the creator, while others fall under licenses that do not require attribution. If you have ads on your blog, you’ll also need to look for images that are safe for commercial use.

1. KaboomPics
Started by a photographer and graphic designer, Kaboompics is an exceptionally good source of quality royalty free images.
The images on this site give a definite hipster vibe, which I love, and I think you’ll love, too.
2. Pexels
All photos on Pexels are free for use under the Creative Commons Zero license. There are currently over 30,000 photos in this database and at least 3,000 new high quality images are added every month.
3. Unsplash
Like Pexels, the photos on Unsplash are all licensed under the Creative Commons Zero license. Unsplash images can be edited and used in whatever manner you wish, from personal to commercial applications.
Unsplash users have also contributed to an “made with unsplash” project blog, showing off artistic works.
4. Magdeleine
Magdeleine consists of hand-picked photos from both the Creative Commons Zero license and a Creative Commons Attribution Required license. So, you’ll have to be a little more careful with this website to make sure that you’re giving appropriate credit where needed.
However, this site makes up for the licensing requirements by featuring exceptional images and a searchable color palette, making selection of color-themed photos sets super easy.
5. SplitShire
SplitShire is an excellent source of free stock photos and videos under a very flexible license that allows you to use the images for personal or commercial purposes. The only restrictions are that you cannot use SplitShire images for inappropriate or questionable content, and you can’t resell the images as your own.
