Treating Blisters with Aloe Vera
Blisters are not uncommon. You can get them doing everyday tasks. Treating them can just as easy as getting them. The key lies in Aloe Vera.
What is a Blister?
A blister is a raised section of the upper layer of skin filled with a watery solution. They are formed from friction between your skin and another object such as shoes or from working in the garden. Any activity that the skin is not used to and occurs over a long period of time can cause blisters. Even excessive burns can create blisters such as sunburn. No matter where they are located, they can be very uncomfortable.
Your first inclination is to burst open the blister. Try to not do that as this is nature’s way of protecting a sore. The blister is formed to protect the skin and allow it to heal. The liquid within the blister keeps the skin moist. As the skin heals, the body absorbs the liquid back into the body.
Even if you tried to avoid popping your blister, many blisters burst without any help from us. They burst open simply from doing what you do everyday such as walking. When that happens, you need to finish the job of the blister. You need to help the skin heal.

Whether the blister is fully formed or burst, Aloe Vera can work. Simply apply the Aloe Vera gel to the blistered area. It will begin healing the skin quicker than just putting a bandage over the area. Reapply until area is healed. You will need to apply more often if the blister has burst.
If possible, use fresh gel from an Aloe Vera plant and preferably the outer leaves from a mature plant. Cut open the full leave and apply the gel. Reapply as necessary.
